Seung Bum Park


Seung Bum Park received his PhD degree in chemistry from Texas A&M University working with Prof. Robert F Standaert in 2001. After postdoctoral research under the guidance of Prof. Stuart L Schreiber at Harvard University, he was appointed as an assistant professor in the Chemistry Department at Seoul National University in 2004, was promoted to an associate professor with tenure in 2008 and to a professor in 2013. He took a joint faculty position in the Department of Biophysics and Chemical Biology at Seoul National University. He is currently the director of CRI Center for Chemical Proteomics. His research interests lie in chemical biology, molecular diversity, discovery of novel fluorescent bioprobes, high-content screening, medicinal chemistry, and target identification.
