Courtney Aldrich


Dr. Courtney Aldrich is a Professor in the Department of Medicinal Chemistry in the College of Pharmacy at the University of Minnesota. He is the editor-in-chief of ACS Infectious Diseases, the first journal to highlight chemistry and its role in the multidisciplinary and collaborative field of infectious disease research. His research focuses on the design of new antibiotics for multidrug - resistant bacteria and natural product biosynthesis. Dr. Aldrich’s research has been supported by the National Institutes of Health, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and the Tres Cantos Open Lab Foundation. As an educator, Dr. Aldrich teaches courses in both the graduate and professional programs on antimicrobial agents and has mentored more than 35 PhD students and postdoctoral fellows.
